    First ride on my ZR

Very impressed!! Im coming from an 08 PX and SHO so I was looking for the knee jerk torque of the X and the ride of the SHO. Very, very close on torque and I mean very close. I was surprised a bit. A power fliter puts this ski on top. It did not ride as well as the SHO but better than the X. I was expecting it to ride a little better than what it did though. Yamaha hit a homerun with this ski which is no surprise to any of us since its about the only thing we have been talking about on here all year. Im about to remove the foam from behind the cowlings like Jerry did. Im not as skilled as Jerry so instead of copying him, I am going to drill a bunch of small holes in the black plastic where as Jerry totally the plastic out. Going for the honeycomb look so to speak. I will post some pics when I get done. Mods are on order and I cant imagine how this ski is going to perform once this thing can breath. Well worth the investment,

Good to hear. Congrats on the ski and glad you like it. Couple of mods should put you right back to the "knee jerking torque/power" of your P-X. Grab a grate and pump seal kit to eliminate the slight cavitation on take offs and I think you'll be pleased.

I'm going with the R&D power filter and the free flow exhaust first plus a bov. You can just feel the "trapped" power in this thing. It's a wonder it performs as well as it does, without being able to breath. You stay very dry on this ski too Feel like a kid again with my new toy.

Yeah it was. I put in at Deer point lake which 10 mintues from the house. I wanted to get a few minutes of seat time with the Z still stock for comparison sake. We need to get together so you can show me where the riding spots are here. I'll PM you this week to see what your next weekend plans are.

I did not notice any but I only rode for an hour and it was very calm and I was to busy mentally comparing it to my old PX but I will keep an eye out for that.
