RXT-X not put together right...
So I was out today for the 2nd time on my new T-X, and it was the first time I rode it in any chop. The first time I came down on a wave, the bars bent straight down, throttle came up, and I ended up with a half inch deep gash right in between my middle and ring fingers on my right hand. Really deep, nasty cut.
Anyhow, I personally think that the dealer is at least partly at fault for this. I was under the impression that part of the PDI procedure was to make sure all bolts are tight so this sort of thing doesn't happen. What do you guys think, and do you think I should go after the dealer? I certainly don't want to trust them with the break in service if they can't even put the handlebars on right.

I thought that you were supposed to take it easy on the ski for the first 10 hours. My guess is that they will say you were going too fast and that that the 10-hour checkup would have found the problem... Ron

There at fault im sure the bars need to be set up when there un packed. Mistake do happen though you maybe the only one who has had this happen from this dealer. Id go talk to them and see what they have to say but be nice. show them what happend maybe they will hook you up with a cover or something but if there jerks about it then by all mean freak out on them.

I would buy that, but it was maybe 1 foot chop. I was going less than 15, and I slowed down at the wrong time, came down in a trough, bars bent down, and i went over the front.
I work for a Deere dealership myself, and if we had something like this that could have seriously hurt one of our customers we'd bend over backwards to make it right. Hopefully when I call the salesman on monday he'll do the same I would.
Most of all I'm glad I wasn't hurt worse, but that doesn't fix the fact that it ruined a good afternoon worth of riding.

I think you should get a nice cover out of the deal at the very least.
