    gp1200r won´t start, tried everything!!?

    Hi pro´s!
    I friend of mine have a 2000 gpr1200.
After a testrun without any issue the next time it wouldn´t start?

    He have change:
    Complete electricsystem (Harness/Fuseboxes=everything)
    Statorplate

Even with all this there are no spark at all?

    Any ideas?

    check battery!

also check the leads that go to the starter on the port side of the motor,, make sure its all torqued down,, if theres not a solid connection to the starter it will act funny,,,,

it still turns over right? just no spark...

I bought an SBT top end and installed it into my boat and took the boat from launch…. ran great, rode around for an hour and took a break then would not start.
Sounded funny like something was wrong spun to fast after trouble shooting for 5 days with no spark and replacing everything I could think of including the starter because it sounded wrong.
I ran a compression test and had 0 on all three cylinders, pulled the head everything look great but when you took a ruler and ran it across all 3 cylinder the middle cylinder had 3 MM gap
SBT replace them but what a bit&^ to find so spend a minute and check compression if it spinning to fast you won’t see the spark.

if you had ZERO compression , either the bendix isnt engaging the flywheel and not spinning the crank, or someone forgot to put the rings on
