    shocking discovery

I brought home my jetski from the (not heated storage) after looking over the jet ski i discovered a cracked intake grate!. is it possible that frozen water caused the damage?..
The jetski got only 12 hours ,right before i put it in storage the local dealer did the first inspection and they did the winterirzation. do you guys know if warranty will cover it?. Or where can i get a new one for a good price?.

considering that where it is broken is a NONE load effeced area, I would say that a other source has to broken it, By that I mean I cant see any way faulty or abuse could break it there,

So I agree that there was water behind that edge and it froz expanded and fractured the side of the great.

Warranty could be a hard one, Some will say in a perfect world No water should be in ther, but it happens

I have an R & D intake grate still in the package that I don't need cause I ride on mostly glass water. If you are interested shoot me a PM and let me know. The R & D intake was originally sent by Riva when I ordered my stage 1 kit.

I do remember that when I first took off my grates on my 07's I had water in both, thought it was odd at the time as it was all siliconed in from the factory... and we all know how good those caulk jobs were...bet ya it had water and froze
