    Question Stage 2 RPM's

I installed a stage 2 kit, repitched impeller from 14/19 to 15/20, and put 81 nozzell ring on my RXP. Tested it this weekend in 75 degree temp. with a water temp of 69 degrees I could only get 7850 RPM's. Should I go up to a higher Ring to get the RPM's up.

I would go with the 83 ring that should give you 100-150rpm. Then could you be more specific on what you have installed was it a full riva stage 2 kit??? Check for any boost leaks. and check oil level if you have too mch oil that will hurt rpm. Write down exactly what you have installed and then it will be easyer for us to help you. You may have to take a little out of your prop to get rpm up. R88

i would leave the 81 and take a mm off the prop 15/20-1

I started with the Stage 1 with the green S/C impeller. I have the rear exhaust kit and an X/S intercooler. I was turning the 14/19 Solas at 7750 before I added the X/S cooler and nozzell with the 81 ring. I tested it out and got 7850 with the new intercooler and the 15/20 impeller. I had a full tank of fuel. Real strong out of the hole! I also put silicone on the Block off valve that came with the I/C kit.

Wel you have 2 options either go up a couple of rings, or de pitch the prop. Going up in ring size will give you a little hole shot but lose a bit top end staying with the 81 and re pitching the prop will get you the best top end. Depends what you want really, and where you ride. I ride in the sea and hole shot and hookup are king with me. Abit of chop will lose me 5 mph no trouble so i dont tune for topend. R88

you have a boost gauge??if so you should have 9psi of boost at 8100 rpms but since your at 7850 that means you wont be at 9psi more like 7.5 psi. more rpm=more boost less=less boost. check for boost leaks if none found take some pitch out
