Oil in stinger
So I was pulling the stinger today (to pull the cat and replace with D plate) and I found something I didn't expect...oil. I'm a bit concerned, so I will be compression testing it tomorrow. I'm assuming this is bad?

I have been working on my sky and had the stinger off and there is oil in mine also. I dont think it is a problem.

Guys, guys, guys. It's a two stroke. Oil is in the gas or injected via the oil pump. It's supposed to look that way.

Thx for the feedback guys...I wasn't sure as I am new to pwc's (used to boats w/ V8's). I expected a little residue, it was just a sloppy mess in a ski w/66hrs. I'll finish the D plate, oil injection block off, waveeater clips, and primer kit over the next week with the stinger off. If I have the $$, I may rebuild the carbs. Boy will this be one hell of a learning experience!

also dont forget, when flushing the ski you will get a degree of unburnt fuel in the stinger, this will soften up the carbon in their, mix that will the excess oil and you get a black sticky goo.....!normal i'd say

The only time I've had a little bit more oil come out of the stinger then usual was when my throttle cable was off and the ski ran a bit richer.
