Rivers to PWC on in Ks/Mo area

Some friends and I have been looking for a small river
to ride/explore on near Kansas City area.

I know people ride on the Missouri and occasionally on Kansas
    river.
I have "tried" to get info on Osage river in Mo, etc.

Has anyone sucessfully ridden any fun waterways around this area??

I lived in KC for years and never heard about too many people riding the MO or KS rivers. Too muddy I guess. Most locals go to Smithville or Longview. For better riding head down to Lake Of The Ozarks- Nice riding down there from the 40mm to 90 mm. PM me for more info.

Ive been up the Little Niangua quite a few times when I was at the lake with my friend. Pretty nice riding. Water up to about my knees the further we went. Good times!

I didn't realize that the little Niangua was deep enough for
anything but all the canoe/float trip outfits on all those
    rivers.
I'd like more info on that if you have any..
Just trying to get some type of "road" trip together
    for something different.
Pomona is ok, but not that fun to explore unless water
is way up so we can get up the river there!

Oh yea, Niangua is deep enough. Just gotta give Ameren time to get the lake level back up and you are good to go!!! I always let my friend go ahead of me. That way when I see mud coming out of his pump........ I know its time to turn around or STOP.

Ride up the Niangua to the Osage (31mm). Hang a left and go 65 miles. Stop for fuel at the Holiday Hills (66mm) or the Old Orr House (88 mm). I've done this trip many times. Always a great run when the weather is good.
