    SL650 Cranks to SL750 Cranks

Hey, I was wondering if there is a difference between the crankshafts and crank cases between a '94 sl650 and a '95 sl750?? Are they both the same or are there some parts that need to be changed?

Cranks from 92-96 650, 750, 780 are all the same

Cases from 92-93 will work, but have a cooling hose fitting attached to the block.

    Cases from 94-95 650, 750 are identical

Cases from 95-96 780 will work, but have the top case "channeled" for direct flow to the ports.

My understanding is that the early Fuji stators were 'analog', later versions were 'digital', and used a different CDI.

So it depends, I think, and what year your 650 is.

The 780's were all the newer design, not sure if all the 750's were.

K447 is correct. The 650 is an analog signal and shouldn't be used in a 750 which uses a digital. Also, the timing curve has less advance on a 650 CDI.

Now the 650 CDI did work on my 750 conversion for a short time, but it did eventually "short out".

So, yes it will work. (Briefly IMO)

No, it shouldn't be used. There's alot of skis being parted out right now, try to find a 750 CDI. Also a SLT CDI is less aggressive as a SL CDI : FYI

    Stator Interchange

Hello just saw this post, I am in the proccess of the same thing.

What I have done is taken an entire system- Electrical box, wiring, coils CDI- everything from the 650 motor, and placed it on the 750 motor Stator and matching Mag. Nothing is seperate. The 650 Ran before i took everything out.

Now once installed in the 750. It cranks and is showing power everywhere, but of course no spark. Also, I have a constant power when hooked to the battery - coming from the Blue-red wire FROM the stator.

    Any Ideas?
