    Waterproof Tach?

Looking for a good waterproof tach. Is the only thing out there the PET 2500. If I'm going to use one I'd like to mount it permanently. I don't think I'll need all the features on the pet 2500. I guess I just need the basics to tune my Gp1300r after lowell did my head work. Any suggestions? Going to be adding more modds, so I'd like to tune after each one.

    i think so.

i believe the others are merely water-resistant. after you fry a few 2100's or tiny's you'd probably wished you had just gone with the 2500. i can't say from personal experience though, just from what i've seen from others.

Mine is water proof, mounted in the glove box lid.

    features

probably not. i only use mine to get an RPM reading. i just didn't want to keep buying tachs if i bought a different one. it's probably better just to get a cheaper one and mount it somewhere safe

The 2100's are waterproof now. Had mine for almost 3 years, and it's never had a problem getting soaked every weekend.

I have the 2100 as well, I put a small bead of thick Zap from the hobby store around the top face perimeter were the halves meet. I have drenched mine as I wave jum very often, 2 yrs in the running and no problems KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

I think I'm gonna need another dash area for all the extra's. EFI controller, Garmin GPSMAP, Tach, maybe even a depth/fish finder. What I really need is one of those tachs about 6" in diameter with a big red shift light.
