Exclamation All '04/'05 owners need to check this!

When Cody's ski sunk down in Morgan City, we determined the problem to be split o-rings on his drain plugs. I've since checked 3 other '04 RXP's and found the o-rings to be anywhere from cracked to missing completely. It seems as though these ski's are getting old enough to have issues like this, so if you have one I'd bet it needs new o-rings on the drain plugs.

Thanks for the reminder, Mike. That is cheap assurance too!

Can someone tell me if the screws that hold the drain plug on, have bolts on the inside or just screwed into hull. I dont want to remove the bolts and then find out i have to be able to get to the back of inside of hull to install bolts.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm looking at the 2004 Service Manual and do not see any o-rings listed under the topic titled "Drain Plug Installation." I just see the silicone sealant in the middle hole and screw holes. There are no nuts pictured behind the plugs. I just checked my '03 GTX SC and do not see o-rings on either plug, nor do I ever remember seeing them... Ron

They just use stainless wood screws

The o-rings are a part of the drain plug assembly.... not sold separately.

They were there at one point. I think I remember Mike tellimg me a couple weeks ago that the O-rings were missing from the plug on his friend's ski too. Maybe they are rotting and eventually falling off.
