    swapping ecu advice rxpx

    hi
    ive been running a seadoo centre 8400rpm ecu all winter and for the summer im putting a stock ecu back on
    now with the seadoo centre ecu ive been running a les cooke 3 blade skat trak prop which i dont know no the pitch of if anyone knows what pitch they are put to, to work with the ecu that would be very helpful.
    i thinking that the stock ecu will not pull this prop as its reving at 8380. i know i can get the rpms down by repitching the prop but dont know if im going to loose the performance of it.
    so do you think id be better putting back on a stock 4 blade and repitching that for best performance.

    i race closed course so accelaration and midrange are key but our first race has a 3/4 mile long holeshot so i do need top end

    Hey John, if it were me i would get alan at the shed to reset the three blade for the stock ecu. You will get better holeshot and mid with the three, you are going to lose a little uptop but you know it is best to get infront then they will be strugling in the chop. Plus you gota look at the long game, all the other holeshots of the season are shorter so if you can out accel every1 else then your made. You got the advantage being lighter than the others. R88

    yeah i was thinking maybe same mate ill get al to pitch them both up and maybe get the 4 blade setback

    with the stock ecu i was running 8180 at the weekend with the seadoo centre 3 blade which i believe is a 14/18
    the problem i have is i run the 8400ecu and stock ecu side by side and will be swithching between the 2 but im focusing on getting it running right on the stock ecu
    im thinking try the 4 blade which has been set back
    anyone else have any advice

    if your 3 blade is pitched for the seadoo Centre ECU, don't change anything on that impeller and set up another impeller for the stock ECU. get another pump and swap pumps when you swap ECU's.

    i know but i have like 15 mins between stock and limited i think ill try the 4 blade this week and just leave the 3 blade how it is

    yeah i deally that would be good but im not spending money on another pump s im gonna just set the impellors up for stock ithink as thats my main class
