Rxt 215 engine in 04 GTX

My buddy is about to get a 215 engine and throw it in his 04 GTX cause he blew his engine, the question is will it drop in fine without having to change CPU, shaft, pump, or anything else? Or what should he be prepared for?

at least he needs to change the fuel pressure regulator and fuel line for the one that come oem on the 215 and the ecu, this are the esential comp for a 215 up grade also the pump, shaft and impeller are diferent.by the way make shure the engine is from an 05 rxt 06 and up he needs to do a lot more changes, just let me now what year is the engine and i tell you what he needs.my recomendation tri to buy a good condition 05-rxt/rxp to avoid go into so many changes.

Yeah, if he doesn't change the ECU, he will just have a GTX with forged pistons and an internal IC which maybe puts out 190-hp instead of 185-hp. What's he want to do - leave it at 185 or get it to 215-hp?... Ron

If the engine is from an 06,07,08 he needs to change everithing i explain plus display, dispaly harness, injector harness and speed sensor and use 06 ecu. 07,08 ecu he needs to change the entire harness icluding the switch for land yard

its an 06' 215 engine with 25 hrs on it that he's planning on dropping in.
so the things to be changed are:

    ecu
    fuel rails
    fuel pressure regulator
    shaft
    prop
    display
    display harness
    injector harness
    speed sensor

    anything else?

Maybe Shibby will chime in, but I think he's going to need a 159-mm pump, impeller, and driveshaft.
