GoPro Motorsports Cameras
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the GoPro motorsports camera? Also any difference between the normal lens and the wide lens and if it's worth the extra $20? I've heard the wide lens camera makes it look a little bit funny.
I'm going to use this mainly for CC racing. I figured it would be sweet to get a different pov racing.

I just ordered the regular one. I plan on using it for my Lake Norris trip this year. After that I will use it on Lake Huron and Lake Erie when I am wave jumping. I can't wait.

Thanks for the link. I think I'm going to get the wide angle camera once I get some spare cash.

I just saw these at Costco for $99:
I would have bought one if I didn't buy the GoPro already.
There is some footage up on Youtube. The quality doesn't look as good as the Gopro.

I have the normal go pro hero, not the wide.
I bought mine just before the wide came out and now wish i had the wide.
the normal gopro points and shoots and you just look forward.. the wide gets in your bars, front of ski, side to side and forwards. that way people can see more action.
When i look at my footage you can rarely see the bars or ski and its not as exciting to watch.

Gopro Hero 5MP its the boom
I highly recommend the Gopro Hero 5MP with its 170% field of vision. I posted a video of it in the 09 Spring Hydrodrags videos I've also posted other videos of its use in this forum. Make sure you invest on getting all the mounts, its worth it. I've also rigged it as a helmet cam with very good videos produced, there should be pics and videos of it in this forum. Good look you'll like playing with this toy.
