Thread: Battery Question

I have a 2003 gtx 4 tec sc and and an 04 rxp. My battery just died on the gtx at the end of year last year. I remember seeing that the gtx battery and the rxp battery are different... is that true. I plan on just going to walmart and getting a cheap battery becasue i have had good luck with the cheap ones. I threw away my gtx battery at the end of last year, and since there is no help at wal mart i was wondering if i could just walk in with my rxp battery and match it up with another one of the shelf. If not do you guys have the specs on the gtx battery so i can see if they have one, such as size, voltage, etc...
Thanks in advance guys.

if you are slightly mechanically inclined, you can buy the RXP size battery and make a spacer to help the hold downs tighten up properly.

stock size is Yuasa YB30
i think walmart does not carry an identical replacement. but they do have the smaller, YB16, that might need slight modification to tray, aka a spacer.
