Bolt-on 80 MPH RXPs are a reality. Parts similar to those in the Riva Stage III kit are already available by other manufacturers and are in use today. There are already people running the equivalent of this kit in that speed range. You'll probably get to see a couple next week. It seems you have to go into the engine to go 80+ though. I hear we'll get to see that next week too

Yea abbott I agree 100%! If that kit does 80{+} in the heat I'll be surprised. I think 77-78 is a more real # this heat is kickin my ass lately but I will have no excuses just coming to run win or lose! I wont lose all though should be pretty decent respectable speeds for a ski that is only 6 weeks old and has just a few bolts-ons here and there. I hope it rains its ass off 30 minutes b/f radar shoot then stops! I put down atleast 1-2 #'s extra! These RXP's are beast but very temperamental to wheather change... Thank god for ring changes and OR WetWolf shuttles

It's all about knowing how to counter the heat. Mine runs 8100 all day long at 75-76 on Riva's Stage II kit (with a few little extras that are all mostly going ot be part of the Stage III kit)...A slightly different coolant mixture, the cooler thermostat & some fresh outside air and say bye-bye to heat fade... And these numbers have been in the mid 90's heat we've been having lately. It will be a mph or more better come cooler weather. Additionally these numbers are all above a half a tank of gas, not riding on fumes.

I look at it this way...

With the RXP's their Stage I kit performed exactly as advertised as well as their Stage II kit. Yeah, there are several Stage II RXP's running around not hitting 75 but it's not the kits fault. Either the prop needs a little tweaking or some air is leaking somewhere most likely...

So I'm willing to bet their Stage II will be the same way...

It seems the only real "tuning" that has been required for the first two stages has been dialing in the prop. After that it's ride it and forget it...

Yea we are on it! I can change air intake{depends on how risky the water spray is} and adjust rpm's in just minutes....
