    2nd ski

im thinking of buying a 2006 kawski 15f . i own a 2008 sho , and this will be for my wife to ride. I never owned a kawaski . i want something reliable, stable and can go offshore ,without spending alot like my boat.
    is this a good choice?

I ride with a couple of guys with 15F`s and IMHO it is the best ski for the money it is not a soft ride like your SHO or a RXT but it will use a lot less fuel and will run forever without problems

the only problem I have seen on a regular base is after riding and you shut it off sometimes it is hard to start

I rode a 15F all day a while back and they to me do give a harsh ride, but I guess you get used to it.
No trim as SHO, you seem to tend to dive into the chop as you go into it, but more economical for sure than SHO. Top end about low 60s from memory.
The only problems I've heard are hoses coming off flooding the engine compartment.
There is one pig of a one somewhere under the engine that we could not get to on one a while back to get it back on.........guess who towed it back to base. Took 2 hours.
Seems it's a good idea to check them all often.
15F would be high on my list after SHO and FX160.

If it rides like a STX1200R it will beat the hell out of you and ergonomics suck worst ski I have ever owned! Look at FXHO or Ultra LX.

You still cannot beat the price per performance. Dealers around here are selling new 08s at $5899 before TTL.

Your wife will not like the way the front submerges the waves! Go for the HO and you will not have any problems with all the above and the engine is bullet proof and a great ride.
