    Something feels wrong

Hey guys, I took out my XP last weekend. Air was about 50, water, well...I would guess high 40's? It was a little choppy, but there were some parts that were glass that the wind wasnt reaching. Anyways...W/e I had it WOT it felt like I was hitting the rev limiter, or like it wasnt getting to the limiter, I don't know how else to explain it. Could the water temps be doing this? Anyone have any ideas? I need to get a tiny tach really bad

your probably due for a wear ring for the pump. pull the pump and check the gap from the prop to the wear ring. If you need one I have a new extra one i'll let go for $50+ship if you need it. you may just have something wrapped around the drive shaft, prop or something wedged in one of the veins of the pump.

Water temps don't cause prop spin.

If it doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't...

Those temps will make it run lean.

Stick your head under your ski & look at the wear ring. You'll be able to tell using a flashlight if you're due for one.

    How's hole-shot?

I worked on his ski this year with the general maint, carbs, rave valves and i did look at his prop and the wear ring didn't look that bad. The one thing i did notice was his front plug that snaps into the front mag cover for the stator that was just hanging outside the hole, it was still plugged in but it was hanging down. His hull had water in it and im thinking his stator, pickup have some rust issues on them. I would also try and cut the spark plug wire 1/4 back and put the boots back on to see if that fixes anything
