    Exclamation Urgent_ VTS ?'s

Im in my garage putting in the new vts unit, got it wired up and still nothing.

Can someone please tell me what fuse up front to look at, they are hard to remove to check every one. 04 RXP

And with the DESS key attached, will the unit move using the buttons or does the ski need to be running??

    thanks

Don't you have to get the dealer to enable VTS in the ECU with BUDS if it stops working??

The 04 RXP comes factory with VTS... and no it doesn't need to be running for it to work. I don't have my Doo manuals on this computer... but if you have a multi-meter it will only take a few seconds to ohm out the fuses to make sure there all good.

I've seen sometimes the ECU looses the VTS option when unplugged. If you don't have the indication for the trim level on the display, it is a ECU problem, which can be fixed with BUDS.

Thats true... but normally happens when leaving the battery disconnected for a period of time. Sound to me like his VTS wasn't working and he just replaced the module, and it still isn't working

looks to be the 7.5 fuse, that one was ok, but still no display on the gauge, guess its off to the dealer sometime when I have $ to burn. Might as well get a extra key made too.

Just a heads up, If your original oem VTS motor went out due to water intrusion through the VTS rubber boot, unfortunately it might happen again. It did on my '04 RXP. Luckily, due to preventive maintenance, I caught it ahead of time before it can do some damage. The only cure I can think of is pack the whole VTS housing with grease. It's the theory of dissplacement. If I replace the air space with something to ocuppy that said space to prevent corrosion, that would be my "theory of dissplacement" just a thought and hope it helps
