Hey Spud!! I am trying the Lubri-Bond Today
Got some Lubri-Bond "A" in and i will be testing that today and I will let you know how it works out. I ordered the Quart sized cans, so i just used a varnishing brush on the entire hull/Tabs/& Plate.
I got this info from you - so thanks for the heads up on it. It dried almost faster than i could paint it on underneith, but it sure is smooth as hell now--so wish me luck.
I have a baseline already to go from and nothing else has changed so anything in the (+) category should be due to a temp drop outside and this speedcoat.

I've only used the aerosol. The brush may be a good way to apply it. Can't wait to hear your results.

Just got back from the water.
We were out early, the temp was 82F. (12 degrees cooler than yesterday running). Humidity was 91% at 9:00 am. Calm water / 1/4 Tank of fuel. No wind at all.
I was .5 to .6 faster on each of the 14 runs (7 in each direction) than I was all day yesterday.
So with that said-------is it the cooler temps? Or is it the coating? Don't really know but i would probably say that it was most due to the cooler temps and some credit for the coat. It was a good buy, but it wears off after a few high end runs IMO. I will need to get it back out and ride in 90+ degrees with same water/wind conditions to really see so that i can give praise where it is due.
I belive it helped--maybe not much, but enough to keep buying it, thats for sure. Spud was right on this, i just didn't get as much of a gain as he did.
I will bring some to the Bug if any of you would like to try it yourself. Real easy to do.

Its probably not a huge gain but we all know how hard tenths of mph are to come by.
Wipe the area with acetone first and get it good and clean.
I use it on the tabs, grate and plate, oh also the reduction nozzle.

I use the aerosol. I scuff the part with Scotchbrite, wipe it with acetone then spray numerous coats. After it is dry I sand really lightly with very fine sand paper, could probably rub with a rag.
