    Cuba!

Has anyone ever been to Cuba? I know right now they are not really ready for an influx in tourism, but hopefully they will fix that.

There was a poll on a local forum I post on asking "would you go to cuba for vacation"

Most said no, I think mostly because they don't like commies.

Anyways here is the greenhulk version! I say lets ride down there haha!

I thought that if we (in the USA) wanted to go to Cuba, we had to fly into Canada first, then "sneak" into Cuba. Did something change? BTW, did you know that Guantanamo Bay has its own area code? ... Ron

There are regular flights into Cuba from the US, according to another Green Hulk member who is also a pilot for AA.

Many other countries have allowed travel to Cuba for many years, not just Canada.

Cuba already hosts a significant number of vacationers each year, and it is a significant part of the economy.

It will be interesting to see if Cuba can avoid the long term damage that tourism has inflicted on so many other Caribbean islands.

I've been to GITMO, toured the base..

Had a few photos taken on the Marine emblem that faces the fence...

All in all, its one of things that you can say you did, but would never do again.. Nothing special, lot of mine fields. Oh and it was a major sausage fest.

    Well

    I wouldn't go because

    a) I don't agree with their domestic policies. Also I saw some photos on facebook it looks so ancient there and squalid, also, if it was that nice, why are all the Cubans here? They are still coming and are welcome!

    b) I live in FL and if I am vacationing, there are alot better spots with 150 miles that I can go to relax and get away. All you people with $ to travel and want to see Cuban Culture should come down to South Florida and spend it, we need the tourism and the beaches here are gorgeous. Up and down our coast there is something for everyone!

Yes, it is true other countries are vacationing there right now. Allowing Cuban American's to visits without any restrictions will cause an influx. If policy is changed even futher their will be another influx that is even larger.

Cuba back in the day use to be one of the top places to go party. Wonder if it will come back. With communist leadership getting older and losing power, now could be the perfect time for America to inject the hell out of Cuba. This could impower a prodemocracy movement so large the current government couldn't hold on.

I would go. The south of Cuba supposedly has some of the best scuba diving spots in the world. Something I might even be more nuts about than riding my pwc.
