How bad is this going to hurt me?

If the cylinders were fine don't worry about it. Your fine..... They are nicasil and a very hard surface to hone to begin with. I have changed pistons and rings many times and never honed. IF you have no marks or scoring and just the cross hatch thats perfect!

    1) It's honing, not homing. This ain't a pigeon.

    2) If you're asking this question, get an engine builder. Call WFO for help.

i disagree 100% you will never learn unless you ask questions on here and then you will always be paying someone and have questionable work.

keep asking questions and you will learn dont be afraid to ask something no matter how stupid it is and use the search function.

I think the point Fullbooger is trying to make is that certain questions really need to be answered by engine builders, or people who have experience in the area of question. A lot of times people answer questions based on what they have read, when in fact they have no practical knowledge of what they are talking about.
