    Projects like that have been discussed before.

    Presuming you have a carbureted twin Virage, the following need to be addressed;
    Different engine mount locations in the hull (but doable)
    Different impeller pitch (Virage TX impeller)
    Different CDI and possibly other electrical stuff (Virage TX)
    Different carbs and intake manifold
    Different exhaust manifold, not sure if the other exhaust pipes and waterbox are different

    Probably some other things I have forgotten about...

    3 cylinder

    parts that can be used from the 2 cylinder to convert, starter,flywheel,mag housing and cover,motor mounts,bed plates,coupler.things you'd need,complete electrical consisting of stator,cdi,coil pack,complete 3 cylinder motor including intake,carbs,exhaust manifold,exhaust pipe,waterbox,flame arrestor,prop and probable the pump stator as the virage came with a 5 vane aluminum and the tx's came with a 6 vane s/s

    I Got ahold of the guy with the new 700 motor,He wants $400.00,not $300.00 like I thought he said. I could box it and ship it in a tote to you if you want. Shipping runs about $100.00 I think. Let me know if your still interested. It has everything (carbs,stator,etc. )the only thing If I remember right is the stator wires were cut,so you might have to splice to yours.

    Sounds like a hell of a lot of work! and a possible pain in the ass. Sell it and pop up a couple of extra bucks and buy that 1200. Put gas in it and ride.

    Let's see,on a 1200 you'd need to Change a CDI,electrical board,wiring harness hook up,replumb gas lines,and motor mounts maybe VS soldering 8 color coded wires and use shrink tube them to a existing harness. If that's alot of work for putting the same engine back in,I thinka you have no clue. Plus I'd love to see were you can buy a 1200 with less then 1 hour running time for $400.00.

    Am I missing something here. You'd need to do more than that to use a 1200 and it wouldn't be putting the same engine back, he has a 700 now. I think rjcapo02 is suggesting that he sell the ski and upgrade to a ski that originally came with a 1200.

    Yes, that is what I meant, sell it and buy a Virage with the 1200 already in it.
