    250x Piston ?

    Hello everyone

My dealer told me that the pistons on the 250x are forged pistons , Is it right ?

cause if i compared the price in the Kawi part finder the pistons from the 15F are almost double the price than the 250X ! is it a mistake.

For myself they should be more expensive when they are forges ?
    Arent they

They're a completely different piston than in the 15F. If you need new pistons, buy the 09' model pistons and rings and fix the GIO problem while you're at it.

Yes i will probably do it at the next rebuild,

Hope it is gona be in long time, But about the GIO i put a valve on the catch can, and i will remove my breather as the 08.

And my dealer told me to let the engine getting hot before wot , to let the pistons take there expensions , wich is logic, if they are forged ?

but if they are cast, the expension is not usally a probleme.

    JE Pistons are forged
    OEM kawi pistons are cast

As for your theory, 09 pistons will NOT fix GIO for 07 motors. Well at least not for me. I run the OCMS and RD Breather kit. I attached several pics. The one marked "08" is from the 2008 season. The other bottle is just from an hr ride this past Sunday. Then again, this is the 2nd time I been out and water temps in the 40's. I also run more boost then stock.

    Wow Scott

your ultra is very fast, guess you do 75 mph as your 09 pistons increase the compression ratio this should help.

I had some water coming over the bars. Maybe sucking in through the intake?? Not sure. But I'm also noticing condensation building up in the intercooler. Im thinking very cool water and the roots blower pushing hot air. I am keeping a very close eye on it.
