Rubber strap on water box %[email protected]#

I give up. How do you get the rubber strap back on the water box. (04 Rxp SC removal) I had to cut it to get it off and purchased a new one (5 bucks) and it looks impossible to get it back on. Even boiled it water and that didn't give me enough slack. I bet you guys don't bother with putting this thing back on. I really don't see the purpose but it's now become a challenge.

Take an old, large screw driver and notch it like this... you'll be able to push down on the wire clip and pop it on.

and if you can find an el cheapo screwdriver that will bend instead of break, adding a bend in it will help even more

    you'll find...

that not replacing parts leasds to unexpceted results.

Here's a tip when using the notched screwdriver and other "specialty tools" know only to the secret clan of Ski mechanics.

Pay carful attention and stay fully focused when PUSHING on any tool. You can send yourself to the emergency room for a couple of hundred bucks worth of stiches and tetnus shots if you don't pay carful attention to the area your hand will end up if the tools slips off,

Been there, done that, have scars to remind me we're not playing with erector sets here.

    Gloves suggested.

It's even worse when you are pulling the tool towards you and it slips... Ron
