    Smile JT's 05 GTX-SC

Great day to haul ass on the water!

After some winter modís hereís my results.
    2005 GTX-SC (185hp NO IC)

    65.0 GPS @ 7650 rpm
    101 hours on ski

Picked up 3.0 mph and 150 rpm+ with the following mods:

    Solas 13/20R +1mm (Thanks Jeremy)
    4Ē Kanaflex intake with filter
    Riva grate and pump wedge
    Reverse bucket mod
Ride plate holes filled, sanded entire ride plate
    Competition OPAS mod
    Bilge pump & strainer
    SC rebuilt by Jerry

Accelerates much quicker! Better handling overall with all modís together.

I need more pitch because Iím all over the 7650 rpm limiter now with only about 80% throttle! Need to see how this does when it warms up before I start bending the prop.

    Comments and feedback are welcome!

    Awesome

Good to see another X backing up 73+ on stock power.

THe ski dosnt really like to be trimed up all the way, and you loose speed if over half way by much. I would not worry to much with your pourposing as you want be running with trim up that much hardley ever. IN fact in rough you will be half or below.

You need to try the moded stock as it has produced my fastest speeds. Better hookup then the riva but the riva is hard to beat on glass.

In regards to pro nozzle you will pick up a little top end. IMO I still had the same holeshot and acceleration with a 84 to 85 ring. but once you go 83 or less you will loose a bit of bite out of the hole. Mid to wot the 83 might be same or faster.

Either way congrats to your new found power.

Dang, go put some hours on that deprived ski. You still got to do your 10 hour break in.

Hee Hee, Its hard to get time on the meter when you get down to the buzzer in only 1 hour 20 minutes!!!

Another subject: Both of my ski's speedo's indicate 3-4 mph faster than GPS reality. Obviously the dream-o-meter is NOT accurate at all!!

YOU SIR are 100% correct - I need to ride more!

That would be corect arround 3 to 4. If i dont have GPS I know when i am 70 + . after i hit 70 on dremo and she keeps pulling or in car terms I bury it.

Congrats on the speed's. It doesn't take much to get major improvements with the X's. You should get a little faster with more time on the clock.

Smile Trailer platform & pwc cart

Built a custom trailer platform to walk / stand on. Much easier to refuel now without balancing on crossmembers. Also can store two storage containers or other stuff. Welded 2 1"x3" support beams and got a 4'x8' sheet of diamond plate to match storage box, cut it to fit and bolted it down. Also welded custom made spare tire holder. Only cost about $120 in materials.

Built my own pwc cart and improved on a $350 commercial design. I think mine is better, because you can fit engine hoist legs underneath the support beams! Fully adjustable width of bunks and support beam and wheels are stressed for 1500#.

    Now on to more mod's!!!!!!!!!!!
