    Honda Conversion

Just to make you all aware of my build that i have started. I have purchased a 2001 GP hull and am putting a Honda R-12x motor in that is capable of spinning 11k RPM and over 400HP. I will be posting pictures soon. I have 2 Race car engineers that are working on the project with me. They have built honda race engines for years.

We plan on using a RXP pump for the project as well so it will have a little bit of every manufacture.

I will post pictures this evening... I will update this thread and the ski will be making a showing at Mud Bug.

The question is How much will it cost to get a Honda engine to 400 Hp ?

I wouldn't doubt it being fairly cheap, as just maybe the aftermarket for the honda cars can transfer over?

    Any thoughts?

More likely Honda motorcycle engine parts, rather than auto parts.

Don't ignore the need for safety in the installation.

The fuel system must be 100% sealed to keep fuel vapors outside the engine compartment. A flame arrestor for the engine air intake is also important.

The entire electrical system must also be water and ignition proof.

Also be careful about hot engine and exhaust components causing damage to other things nearby. The confined interior of a PWC does not have anywhere near the same ventilation as a motorcycle or car.

I hope your project turns out well
