Anyone tried this?
Has anyone tried to grind the tabs off the transom plate (the one that mount to the hull on the oustside) and shift it up so that there is no step (up or down) from the pump shoe? I think this is what riva/R&D was trying to do with the pump shims that come with the PPK but this method would not cause the pump shoe to hang down. Any thoughts? thanks

Its gonna be a bitch to remove everything with 5200 on it. If your not careful you can pull chunks of smc off with the 5200. Can it be done? yes. Is it going to be easy? No.
