    Loss of RPMS! Help

I went out this weekend with a few friends to Lake Murray here in Oklahoma. After the lake calmed down I went out to a "no wake" area cove and did some top speed runs on some glass. I tried neutral on the trim 3/4 nose up and nose all the way up.

Best runs where on the neutral position and I was only pulling 6900-6950 rpms at 63.5 mph.

After messing around some more I was able to run a 65.6 mph run at 7050rpms.

I have been able to run a 66.7 at 7150ish on light chop. I am wondering why I lost rpms! Anyone have any ideas? I put new plugs in it a few weeks ago and I believe I gaped them correctly. Any help is good help! Thanks guys!

All I have is the PPK and Intake Grate so far.

I am planning on buying one of jims plates but I bought the pump upgrade so I wouldn't have to grind down two pumps.

What mods should I get to support the 14/20? Should EFI and Timing control along with an Intake filter and D-Plate do the job?

Loss of rpm can be caused by many things:

    1) low RAD

    2) improper tuning/jetting

    3) stuck choke plate

    4) chipped/burnt/old reeds

    5) impeller imperfections (nicks, dings, etc.)

    6) PV issues

Lots of other reasons too. Time to start checking!

Would the spark plug gap make a difference? Better to be too small than too big?

Also, I can hit 63.5 all day long and that seems to be on par with other 04's with an intake grate. But I have hit higher and I am low on rpms...

I had a few issues with my Tinytach on my 04. I called and they said to use all 3 plug wires with 1 wrap around each of them. They also told me not to grund the white ground wire.

    So far its worked perfectly.
