VTS and when to use it

I have tried looking for this but havent found any real answer. I thought I had read a thread one day talking about people using their VTS and at what amount of throttle. Is it bad to adjust it at WOT?

Chris, I think this will be the consensus. After you give WOT as you are leaving the hole, you should be adjusting as you plane off...so you are at "one over center" when you plane.

Yeah I know that seems to be the sweet spot but, what I am really trying to ask though is if for some reason I want to adjust it differently while WOT at say 50mph for example, will I be doing damage? I thought I read somewhere that some people didnt like to adjust it at high speed WOT. Some didnt like adjusting after 1/2 throttle. Sometime I play around with it a bit, especially if i start to have trouble hooking at high speeds when the water is rough. It seems to help when I am all over the trim.

Before I changed to the RXT-X pumpshoe all the way down for holeshot and all the way up for top speed. Now with the X pumpshoe, about 1-2 nothces below neutral for holeshot and all the way up for top speed. Sometimes during rough conditions you trim to how the boat handels the best.
I dont see why you cant adjust it at any speeds. I always do and works just fine.

+3 Trust me. It's pulling the reverse bucket that really hurts on WOT both on my friend's pocket and his ego I think I read this caution on the owners manual. I think they just want people to pay more attention on driving the ski than tinkering with the gadgets that was offered on the ski. I adjust my VTS all the way up MAX if I have a FAT chick behind me. My RXP wheelies on water for a few yards untill she slips off....(thanks to Armour All that I applied on the seat , they are slippery as heck ) Then I adjust to 1 bar up the mid point. That's the sweet point of my RXP without the weight of my ex-mother in law. funny thing, I didn't give her a PFD (Personal Floating Device) cause they have not made her size yet, a semi 18 wheeler inner tube tire wont even do her justice But she manage to stay afloat untill the Coast Guard came and winched her out Hope this info helps and have a nice day.
