    CV carb question

I was verifying the operation of newly modded carbs. With the F/A off. Firing the engine up and just Zigging the throttle, #1 and #3 open up but #2 seems to lag quite a bit. I ran the Ski for about 5 seconds. Tested a few times. #2 plug looks fine with a bit of brown on the electrode.

Sometimes the act a little funny with the fa off. Are you sure youdidnt drop a carb gasket when putting them back? Also make sure the slots in the fa adapter are lined up with th ones in the carb or they wont work rite.

Thanks for the reply. The carb gasket is O.K. and the F/A adapter lined up.

Took the Ultra out today. 93 degrees on the Lake. Well #2 still looked richer and opened slower. So I swapped slide/diaphrams between #1 and #2 and now #2 opens with #3 and #1 is slow!!!! Bad vacuum diaphram is my opinion. FYI if you have a bad one it will sound slightly different from a good one when manually operated. Test all three and listen for yourself if anyone ever wants to check them

I suppose over time they get old, dry out and loose there shape

I've Two skis(triples) w/CVs on them. On both, the slides are in sync. No lagging behind...they all respond the same. Hope this helps
