Gp1300r tick over but does not fire up. PLEASE anyone help me!

I have my gp1300r currently sat in the garage with it not firing up. You can turn the engine over but it will not fire up. I stupidly left it with a friend to flush it out whilst i attended to my young one. After which i then tried to start it again and nothing. IF anyone has a detailed proceedure on what to do id be most grateful as i cannot afford to take it to a dealership who costs a bomb to fix sumthing that could possible a ''easy'' fix?!

I found this on you tube its exactly the same issue:-

If it is not getting fire, then the throttle cable may be mis-adjusted... the boat wont fire unless it is at true idle

also no fire if the water temp sensor is unplugged (back of the pipe closest to the waterbox)

I'm with chip on this one...you said he flushed it out for you...did he turn water on before or after the engine was started....pull plugs just to see there is no water...

if not you gotta go with wfo (one of our gpr gods).....

it will take quite a few seconds of water running to build up and get into cylinders..but if its in there and you aint run the chit out of it straight away your motor bearings are toast..(sorry for bad news) but it may not even be worse case for you,how long did he leave it running for ater engine was off ???????
