    4" air intake couplers

    Hi,

I am having some drama fining a 4" or 100mm external diameter PVC coupler for my kanaflex air intake.

I see that you guys in the US can just go to the local Home Depot and get such a product, but here in Oz all I can find is 90 or 100mm internal diameter PVC pipe.

Does anyone know of an online pace that would sell these? Cheers.

Also how long are these couplers? Do they come in different lengths?

    Thanks for the links guys.

I am looking for PVC pipe as all the aluminum stuff will rust over time and I only ride in ocean.

I couldn't find any PVC couplers that were legit 4" inner diameter. But I found some sewage pipe that comes in like 10ft pieces that is 4" inner diameter but is thin walled enough to still fit in your hose/filter and also be rigid enough.

The only 4" couplers I found had a 3 1/2" inner diameter and I didn't want a bottleneck in my system

I ended up with a straight 3'' PVC Coupler that has an outer diameter very close to what is needed for both a Spectre filter (fit was perfect) and the kanaflex, the kanaflex had to be squezed maybe a 1/4 to half and inch but I have had no problems with it. Oh ya I did cut about an inch off the coupler to make it shorter/less weight

the pipe is called DWV (drain, waste, vent) thinner and lighter than SCH40. 1/2 of my air intake is built from this, way slicker than Kanaflex on the inside

I am going to use stainless steel pipe as this is the only pipe I can get with an OD of 100mm.

Hopefully get it all done this weekend. I am going to plum the air breather hose back into the intake as per OEM intake.

That SS pipe is going to look killer in there. I think you'll like it although I imagine it's pretty expensive. Where did you buy it?

I am only using two pieces about 100mm each. To join the flex tube to filter and one where I am going to plumb the breather hose into the intake.
