R&D powershot or Riva fuel contoller?

    Right,
Ive made my mind up-getting one the last of the GPR's, and going to mod it-I was going to get a FZR, but after looking at one, they are too big for my liking.
I know there have been some issues with bad Riva controllers, so looking at reliability, should I go with the Riva unit, or the powershot???
I know the poweshot has a few more tuning bits, and I was also wondering if I get around to dropping a yam 4 stroke in the gpr in a few seasons, can the powershot be reflashed, or is going to be a new unit??
    Thanks.

it will be a new unit, there's a lot more in a 4tec ecu compared to a 2stroke fuel controller.

I just got a powershot and it isn't easy to set up at first but I do think it is a better built unit than the Riva. I can't really say too much cause I haven't ran the ski on the water yet.

    rivas or r&ds

bought the powershot a few months ago, sent it back without using it. if you aren,t doing any engine mods like cylinder porting increased compression or reed stuffers for better fuel/air volocity ,you won,t see any difference really .

hmmmm, is there a problem with riva units being defective?
I know many riders using the Riva controller with success and even problems with the ground wire are explained on how to repair right here...

sho nozzle is it better holeshot ?

    no

it is metal so it doesn't break, but it will be slightly slower

I think WFO even mentined hes got some failed units sitting around.
There are some bad ones out there, and im not talking about the ground wires or even the grey plugs-it's the actual units themselves.
