Any 16ga stranded copper wire is fine wrap it around all three plug leads as they exit the e-box..

I run mine starting with 5 wraps (at the coil box) on #1 then 5 on 2 and 3. This is on the wire, not on the the red insulation.

Ok This makes sence... I was wraping only one wire. I will try this way..

WOODY!!! I tested this friday.. Hole shot is neck breaking... Top end needs work, but tack was not working (correctly) so I could not tune at all.
BUT Holeshot was F-ing killer!!! I was full trim DOWN and over the bars and she JUST RIPPS out of the hole. The NEW SS Grate is GOT To play In there. no spin out like the 800 grate...

More work but that is cool.

Guys, Stop making it so hard on him. Run one wire only from tach.
Install alligator clip on end of wire, clip alligator clip on middle
plug wire toward the rear of electric box as shown. That's it.
Now when you need to work on your boat, it takes less than a second to removed your tach wire.

I could never get my tachs to read that way by the clip on 1 wire and get the same rpm readings. I just run 1 wire to all 3 plugs and its been very accurate. Not sure why, some people can make the 1 wire with clip to work and others cant.
