Well, we got the ski back and on the dock. Found out that error code "P"1656 can be a faulty DESS key. I always carry my learner key as a spare... I will now advise all my friends to do the same.

He is going to "dig it out" in the morning and I will try it after work. If it fires up I'm going to stretch the coiled, plastic, slinky, lanyard thingy and snap him in the face with the DESS key... tell him to carry it with him next time so we don't have to do the "tow" thing.

BTW... bussa, I owe you an apology.

In your above response I only picked up on the "P1656" portion of the post (iphone screen... 54 year old eyes... weak reading glasses). Now that I am home, I "see" that you listed the possibilities of error code P1656, but earlier, construed the bottom portion of the post as part of a "signature" and paid it no mind... blah, blah, blah.

Basically, I screwed up and thought you were [email protected]*&ing with me... it's hell getting old!

Thanks for your help... even if I didn't know it at the time.

    Jeff
