    Oil Catch Can content????

My friend is running a RR stage II on his '04 RXP. He installed an Oil Catch Can and is not sure as to the contents that is flowing into it. He is noticing a red fluid in his (and sometimes water). I have only noticed excess oil from over servicing my boat (never anything other than oil) in my Oil Catch Can.

Is this normal? What could the red fluid be?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rfactor.

If the other end of the hose (that is connected to the Oil Catch Can) is connected to the oil seperator housing, where is the water, gas, etc... coming from.

For ever gallon of gasoline burned there is a significant amount of H2O produced. Ever notice when you start your car in the morning that steam and some water will drip out of it? Same thing on or Doos only you dont see it cominh out the exhaust becuse of the H2O injected into the exhaust produces steam. The water/oil/gas smelling mixture is from the small amount of blow by that occurs in or engines. Since they dont have a PCV system its caught in the catch can.
