    Turning abilities of 4-stroke Yamahas

So I have ridden my VX110 and my parents' SeaDoo GTX 155hp ski, and mine turns MUCH quicker, tighter, easier than theirs. I don't know if it's the extra weight of the Sea-Doo, the steering/nozzle range of motion, or what. So, do the FXHO, FXSHO turn much like the VX? Or does the extra weight or power tend to make them slower turners?

    Thanks

the fx hull will out perform the vx in every way.
in fact with correct application the gtx should way out perform the vx....

dont know if perform and 150hp go well in a sentence but hey...

The FX hulls are surprisingly nimble and quick turning for a large hull.

completely incorrect. I have ridden both, and the GTX won't turn for poop. I tried and tried to get that thing to "wag its tail" and at speed or sub-planing my Yamaha out-performed the SeaDoo. In fact my fiancee, my best friend, and I all agreed that the SeaDoo was for old people.

Man I went from a VX to a SHO and I can tell you the SHO hull is superior to the VX in every way. Not just in the chop, the SHO grips the water so much better and will throw you over the side if you're not careful. The lateral G's are intense. It turns on a dime! Maaaan I LOVE it!!

Now there is a proper response. Guess I need to plan on spending a little more on the 2nd ski to hit the double trailer then.

Oh yes I promise you will not be disappointed.

The difference is truly night and day. Especially in the holeshot. Only bad thing really is they are gas HUNGRY at WOT. ~19 GPH. Plus as an added bonus, there a lot of SHO riders in the 4 stroke performance forum, some of which can help out a lot when it comes to the inevitable mods.
