Thread: roll on dock

    roll on dock

Does anyone have any experience with a dock like this? It would be used to keep a jet ski on a medium sized backyard pond. There is no dock at the pond so this looks like a viable alternative to keep it out of the water and on the shore.

I don't have personal experience with this but a neighbor has one and it does not work worth a chit. It may not work in his application because he has it on an incline greater than the thing was designed for, so if you have minimal slope it should be fine for your pond

I built my own out of treated 2x4 and 4x4. I used peer hinges for a 8 ft extention and got the rollers from menards. I used a manual winch for the first year then I put on a battery operated winch it works great.

for that price buy a used sportportXLT or used EZdock3.
then it will float level. just figure out how to anchor it securely.
you can use a garden hose with a long (6'-10') peice of 1/2 inch pipe as a jetting tool
and jet in two appropriate length 4x4's 10 ft 12'?? jet them in at least 5'
if you put the whole thing in a few ft of water you can ride right on/off

or put the head of the dock onto the beach and the rear to float, as long as the rear is deep enough to drive on.
just make sure no rocks debris under the dock to puncture it.
