what type of carb is this

I am reworking a used 1200pv motor I got off ebay (never again) and I realised the carb had a different look about it. The supply enters the center carb. I have another set of stock 1200pv carbs and this is not the case. the accelorator pump is also not connected to the center carb

I wouldnt worry about the supply as it looks like it does get to all three carbs.

I would take them apart though. Way to much rust in that picture.

I think I will use the other carbs I have. It was just different than what I have seen. The is what you get on ebay.

Do you think somebody tried to eliminate fueling problems by putting the central line in,sort of like a quick fix?I've just rebuilt my carbs and it's good to know exactly what has been done and what's inside them.

I am not sure. if you read in this forum you hear about just about everything that can be done. I have not heard of this. I think I have even heard of electric pumps and three individual lines. I is odd that the acc pump only goes to the 1 and 3 carb.

It looks like an I body except for that weird inlet. I don't know what that is, but I kinda like the idea...

there is no acc pump in the center carb. the carbs look good on the outside. i opened one up and it is clean and the rubber looks good. I am going to clean and reassemble. I do not know if the lack of acc on center is a problem. I have read where most of the high performace carbs do not have them. should I just remove the acc pump all together?

I have seen them like that from the early XL's I think maybe from the boats, it is an I-Body same as a GPR. They also have a little bit different throttle wheel on them, I believe I had to change it can't remember but if you have issues with it not opening all the way let me know I have some of the other type.

Do not remove the accel pump unless you plan on rejetting and running aftermarket F/A's. All the US models are set up with the accel pump to #1 and #3
