    Beating a stock RXP-X

What mods would you have to do to a 2006 GP1300R to consistently beat stock RXP-Xs on fairly smooth fresh water?

Probably best to separate into three categories:

    1. Beat them in holeshot.

    2. Beat them in top speed.

    3. Beat them in holeshot and top speed.

    Just wondering. Thanks everyone.

You need porting and it does not affect the longevity or reliability...it's always something you need to do in the beginning and wish that you had done it sooner.

Woody (Kevin) or Lowell know exactly what to do and their work is impeccable.

Go with porting and you won't regret it.

i smash stock rxp-x's on my little ol 2002 GPR and it gives those stage 1 posers hell to

Yeah sure porting will def help but its not a prerequisite to win.

you wll however need the following
    vf3 reeds
    150 psi head compression
    3 degree key
    fuel controller
    dynafly 14/22
    jims plate
    free flow exhaust
    1200 waterbox
1200 r&d grate (dual bar will do or single for even better hook up but you loose 1mp top end)
    sealed pump shoe with ppk
+ all the usual free mods like stepped sponsons, air mods etc..

i love the look on lebs faces when i hand the heir asses up the georges river. they all think they are it on their new seadoo's until they race me .

those mods should get you to about 75mph and you will have pretty wicked acceleration.

I run a setup thats almost the same but my ski has carbs as its not efi so i have substituted the following

    efi >> novi48mm carbs
    3 degree keyway >> advent D70 CDI
    Fuel Controller >> not needed

ahhhh the look on their faces always makes me laugh and when they ask me if my ski is worked i just laugh at them because its loud as hell so its a really stupid questions. if they ask me what my secret is I just tell greenhulk.net baby

also dont run them from a dead stop, they will hurt you like that but you can pull them in always opt for a rolling start and although they will pull you by 1-3 ski's off the start they cant hold it

add porting to the mods abve and you wll be very close to or just over 80mph but always remember its all in the tuning cos thats the real secret to going fast.

i can't believe nobody has mentioned the jetworks mod and leo's holeshot kit along with a grate and the ppk to help with the acceleration

I did that the other day. A guy had a new RXT and we ran from a stop. It was the first time I have had my ski out and gone wot since last august. Warmed it up for like 4 min ish. Smoking like a chimney. We lined up. Was even with him out of the hole, think this was because it was bogging like crazy... old gas, too much oil, no ppk. Next thing you know I have 10+ skis on him.

    hahah'

and i did say seal the pump shoe and ppk it.

i don't bother with jetworx mod or leo's because i am a lazy mofo but i will do leo's mod on my next project.

FYI a GPR will never beat an RXP-X in holeshot IMHO
