    Biger Gas Tank Options

Are there any bigger gas tank options for a GPR? I hate that i run out of fuelk so fast and my buddy's Polaris can go almost twice as long b4 filling up, this kinda sucks when running the rivers!

Some are putting in an XLT fuel tank. It takes a bit of reforming and you need to remove the oil tank (I think).

On the GP12R you can use the XLT tank. If you premix, you can dump the oil tank, and use the GPR fuel tank straps. If you are using oil injection, you must buy the XLT tank straps along with the XLT tank. Remove the front foam piece.

You must use a heat gun, and do a little forming of the bottom corners to fit the tank in. I used 2x4 block of wood to push on the plastic. If you overheat the tank, it could burn through. Slow and Steady....

Admittedly, this probably loses a half gallon or so, but you still come out ahead by a few gallons.

The filler hose needs to be shortened by an inch or two. I used a piece of aluminum pipe and two hose clamps to put it together.

Tim, if you decide to go that route, I think I have an XLT fuel tank for you.

    FYI...
Most of todays FOUR STROKES can't even match the Polaris 2stroke watercraft when it comes to gas mileage. They sip the gas.

Smitty, looks like the weather this weekend may go south real bad! Maybe I will get up there the weekend after next. Send me a PM and let me know how much you want for that tank, i need to get my other issues worked out first but im going to eventually do it.

I know this might sound crazy, but if you were to convert to running premix, couldn't you connect the oil hose from the bottom of the oil tank and route a line going back into the top of the tank. You could then put a fuel cock in line and have like a reserve tank.
I said it knew it was crazy.
