08 rxp scoop problems
I injested some rocks on my 08 RXP. It wrecked the impeller and did some damage to the scoop. When I say scoop I mean the piece that the pump seals on and bolts up to that is siliconed to the hull. When you pull the pump off there are some fins on the mouth of the scoop that I believe are plastic, those got damaged a bit one broke off some and the others got bent over bit. Is this going to hurt performance any if so how much? or can I just throw another impeller in and run it. Any help would be great Thanks.

You might want to grind them all off. I've heard that if one or more are gone, the ski will cavitate badly but the performance with them all gone is fine. It's an all or nothing deal.

Yeah, like SeaGoat said, grind them all off and smooth the pump area. One or more broken fins will cause cavitation... Ron
