Installing a thru hull tip.. ?? need coupling
WEll I read the instructions before cutting the hole. the riva instructions said that I needed a 3.25" coupling to attach the riva waterbox to the thru hull tip. Taking riva for their word that they know what they are doing, i went ahead and ordered two of them without measuring for each of the two rxps im working on.... well long story short its way too big.
I measured it today and it looks like 2 5/8".. but this is an uncommon size, no? Can anyone confirm the size? I think im losing it...
Anyone actually have the coupling fs to help me out? Jerry? I need it in a hurry....
I tried to call Riva but they are closed.
talk to me.
Freakin BS that a $400 waterbox doesnt come with the coupling.

Do you have the stock exhaust hose? Cut that for the time being and use it as the coupler.

The stock exhaust hose should be big enough, you just need to cut it to length.

I was just working on it some more. here is what I cant comprehend-
the riva box diameter is slightly bigger than 2.5" its more like 2 5/8 unless I am crazy. Furthermore, there is a lip/hump around the pipe, making it even bigger. the only way i will get it to work is to lube it up, push like hell and hope for the best.
THEN, how in the world will I fit it on the thru hull tip???
This is a ball-breaking little job.
BTW, cutting that hole was a little scary.. the hole-saw kicked like bitch.
