    08 rxp 215 leftover

A local dealership is selling a leftover with trailer for 10119. Is that a good price? This would be my first 4 stroke ski. Is there anything i should know about this ski as far as maintenance goes? Upkeep? Problems?

You can do the 10 hour service yourself as long as you keep all receipts with dates etc. on them. Make a notation in your owners manual concerning the date and hour mark on the ski when service was performed and put the receipts for the oil and filter in your manual. Seadoo cannot withhold warranty just because the 10 hour service wasn't performed by the dealership.

Were does it say that? I just called my dealer and they said resetting the maintence alarm at 10 hours would be free. They said just bring it in. Didnt say anything about warranty.

I got mine for $9100 ski only after all fees, still had to pay tax though.

OK thank god. You scared me. What if I use amsoil for the 10 hour? Will they still honor it since its not sea-doo oil?

I would like to know that also. What does everyone use for oil? are you sticking with seadoo or using alternatives?

Can't hardly blame Frankie for posting this. Most dealers want you to believe this myth and many will take efforts to imply it's true. But SeaGoat is correct... just keep receipts and make sure they are for the recommended/approved replacement parts.

Amsoil is fine! I just filled mine up with Mobile 4T racing oil for motorcycles although considering what I paid for the oil ($10.59 a quart) I should have just ordered the amsoil. Just make sure the oil is JASO MA certified.
