If your looking at it the blades spin clock wise. you need to turn it counter clock wise.

    Ok,

So the impeller tool for this current repair (wear ring change) was a waste of money. Sure ill need it for something else down the track

I got a screwdriver and tapped the old wear ring out from the Vein side of the pump being carefull not to slip and hit the impeller. While i was doing this the new ring was in the freezer.

Once i got the old one out i drilled two pilot holes on each side of the pump for 2 self tapper screws that are nice and short to stop the new wear ring from spinning.

New ring dropped in easy as and chucked the screws in and put it all back together.

Hope this can help someone in the future.

wear ring replacement is ALOT easier than I expected. Not sure if this is cos i didnt need to pull the prop and ive done pump oil before but yeah very easy.
