    Who's Going To MudBug?

I'm in again for great people, great food, great riding and swamp action.
If I go alone (booked already), pray that I represent my country well.
Better yet, get your Canook asses down there with me.

I think I saw in a previous post you mentioned that you "borrow" someone's ski's when you're down there? Roughly what is the total cost of expenditures when you do this? Sounds interesting.

Let's see...........last year; $3,000. diesel + $3,000. expenses = $6,000. split 2 ways = $3,000.cdn. Wear and tear on my rig and toys (skiis) not included but, making tons of new friends was included.
So, this year; flight $360. cdn + [2 hotel rooms (1 is voluntary exchange for use of loaner ski) @$75.00 usd each per night x 5 nights = 5 x $150. = $750.usd x 1.3 = $975.cdn] + $700.cdn expenses = $2,000. rounded total cost. Savings of $1,000. = good deal. Not to mention the 5,400 total miles, (not kms) and 2 - 3 weeks away from family and work verses 6 days.
Also included is an open invitation to my southern buddies to visit me in Vancouver, (maybe for Olympics, or whatever), and use my stuff. (skiis, quads, etc.)

That's not too bad. Not sure how you could do it every year, but definately sounds fun! What kind of ski's do you end up getting? Does that include insurance? Do you need any licensing to ride there?

It's doesn't get any better. Semi-retired developer. More fun than pokin' gators with a stick. Whatever runs well is good enough. Prefer 3 seater couches with reverse. Bring my own cooler bag, GPS, skid lid, PFD, & goofy costume. Insurance?Cash only!
    License?
Don't need one but, have BC operators card and expired Cdn DOT Master Small Craft license, just in case. Don't ride like a spazz around cops, especially in "No Wake" zones.

Weird. Is the certificate from boatersexam not necessary in BC?

Oh ya! Gotta have an operator's card in Canada to operate a PWC, along with soon (or now) all power driven vessels over 9hp.
Maybe not yet in certain States. Don't matter since I'm an alien and have a Cdn card.
