    Ideal RPM's GP1300R

I have searched and seen a wide range of acceptable RPM's for a GP1300R

I am looking to find out the detonation RPM range and what is the ideal RPM range. From searching I am assuming anywhere between 7050 and 7200 is good.

My ski is an 03 GP1300R with Powervalves
    150psi compression
    4 degree keyway
    EFI Controller on 5 5 1 7
    Jetworks
    Dplate
    Concord 14/20 prop

    Currently I am running 7250 rpm's

Sounds like you are about in the sweet spot for this time of year. Porting or not, and who does it, will affect it too.

as you guys know, I`m not about the top speed but holeshot and hook up in the rough. lately the waters have been rough.

    sooo,
does this grate slow you down in glass? in chop?

what are the benefits if any? does it fit better than the riva grate?
