    Supercharger question

When you reach in to feel the blades, should the wheel have any play at all? Mine has about a mm or 2 and i'm hoping this is normal. My ski has about 14 hours on it.

funny thing, i had my intake hose off today as well and the charger wheel seemed to knock back and forth a bit (not up and down or side to side) but rotate slightly (and really easily) and you could hear it "knock" back and forth a little bit each way... I just recently had the charger rebuilt about 6-8 hrs ago... is this normal?

I dont remember there being that much play, even before I had it rebuilt I didnt think I could move the wheel that much

it will move back and forth... only what the gears will allow.

that play you feel is the gear lash. Perfectly normal.

If your talking about end play....it's trashed. (Push and pull the shaft). Even 1-2 mm on the slap in the wheel is alot. 1 mm anywhere on the SC is a lot. I'd pull it and look at it real close to be sure all is well.
