    rxp-x exhaust

When going to the free flow setup on the p-x, how important is it to maintain the 5lb loop of rubber hose connecting the waterbox and the free flow pipe? I was wondering if I could cut that way down and get rid of most of it.

What free flow exhaust kit are you using? I know with the Riva kit you need to use that entire hose. I wanted to cut it down so everything isnt so cluttered in the hull, but haven't done it yet.

I'm using the riva free flow pipe. I relocated my intercooler by making a bracket and 2.5'' aluminum pipe. My new waterbox exit and the free flow pipe line up perfectly to run about 13'' of the stock hose along the bottom of the hull. I am just wondering if the big loop is necesary.

There is a thread where a guy posted a picture of how he cut down the stock exhaust hose to run under the cooler hoses. So yes it can and has been done.

The loop in the exhaust hose is to stop water back flowing into the water box when stoped. not too much of a problem with a J pipe but on an X you could poss flood the motor with water....
