    Question Trailer jack gets stuck?

I'm sure some of you have had this issue. After a while of not touching my ski (about a week or two) I find that the trailer jack doesnt want to wind up and down. It kinda gets stuck and the wheel just keeps spinning at the bottom. I have remedied this before by spraying some WD40 on the shaft of the jack and it usually works. But now when the grease dries it clumps up and I think its hurting more than helping. I havent ridden for 2 weeks and the damn jack wont go up or down. Does anyone have any good advice for this? Any info is much appreciated.

Stop the tire from spinning. If it's then too hard to crank spray some good rust penetrant down the shaft and let it soak.

    grease fitting is a zerk

It's a small fitting you put a grease gun on.

On my trailer jack the top of the round shaft has a plastic
cap, about 2". You can take it off and see the gears
    filled with grease.

Yours is either stuck in one position or broken. Go to Northern
Tools Off of 826 west of I95 and they have plenty of 'em at
good prices if you need another one.

Good info Tom, thats why your our fearless leader! I got the zerk thing off and applied WD40 and corrosion block. The jack still wont move and I heard some popping sounds, so I think the jack is dead. I'll let it soak for tonight and try again tomorrow. If it still doesnt work I'll just get another one tomorrow.
